Front End Developer

Overview

Build – Cool - Stuff – The front end developer for BCG is responsible for building cool stuff. This person will be designing and developing user experience and visual interfaces along with creating functional HTML from wireframes among other cool things.

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for designing and developing user experience and visual interfaces using JavaScript, jQuery, HTML (4/5), CSS (3), Backbone.JS(or similar frameworks)/AJAX and Photoshop;
  • Responsible for creating functional HTML from wireframes;
  • Works as an effective team member, working cooperatively with others and contributing to our overall work and client experience.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


 

Placement Criteria


Minimum of a Bachelor’s, four (4) year college degree with an emphasis in Computer Science or 3 years of relevant experience in the field is preferred;


3-5 years of experience in web development with a success in building world class websites;


Proficiency and experience in using client side scripting languages as well as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript libraries, and the ability to harness open source frameworks and projects as needed;


Ability to prioritize workflow and organize diverse material and ability to handle multiple, competing and changing priorities; ability to perform effectively and within established time limits and ongoing deadlines;


Ability to interact effectively and professionally, and provide exceptional service, both internally and externally at all times.


Employee should be knowledgeable regarding Microsoft Office, have proficient computer skills, display adaptability in learning the use of company specific software and display comprehension of fundamental computer practices and database management;
