From its very beginning in 1916, Halls has been known as the place to shop for designer clothing, handbags, china and gifts in Kansas City. But as times change, Halls must evolve too, and its leaders are ready for something new.
While details of the new Halls are still in the works, we do know it will offer the same luxury items Kansas Citians have come to expect while also introducing more affordable designer brands, in a modern environment. The expanded Crown Center store is being designed to welcome shoppers and invite them to stay for a while – with a bar and café, an impressive view of the downtown skyline and acontemporary shopping area named The Bridge.
As Kelly Cole, President and CEO of Halls, put it, “We’re evolving from purely a luxury store to a shopping destination that appeals to a wider range of customers,” and Halls knows Brockton Creative Group is just the agency to help them bring this vision to life.
As the driving force behind Cosentino’s Downtown Market’s marketing, Brockton Creative Group (BCG) is already tapped into downtown area residents and workers. They’ve developed a knack for reaching the young professional audience – as they’ve done for clients such as Nick and Jake’s and Variety the Children’s Charity. Drawing on these experiences, BCG President, Tim McCoy, already has a vision forthe re-imagined Halls brand. “Think immersive experiences and rich content,” he says, adding “This generation doesn’t want to be sold to. They – and by they I mean we – experience the brands we identify with. Not many brands get a second chance at a first impression, but we feel that’s exactly what this opportunity is.”
Halls and BCG will work together to grow the excitement and anticipation surrounding the opening of the expanded Crown Center store in September 2014 and continue to engage consumers looking for a welcoming and memorable shopping experience.
